Something was really odd.   When Marius stepped into the house, he found it to have a smell of vanilla swirling through the air.  It was quite intoxicating, but, he still wondered where the smell was coming from.  Looking around, Marius easily found quite a few small flames coming from his candles making a trail-like path.  

He wondered what Hya was thinking, with Lien still crawling around the floor.  But… where was she?  There was no noise or sight of their two girls.  Had Hya forgotten to pick Keki up again?  He set his bag down by the door; Marius went to follow the candles and their scent.

As Marius proceeded to walk through the house, (muttering "Hya?" once to no respond) he found the lights to get a bit dimmer with every step he took, and the amount of candles to grow.  Marius also noticed that instead of the usual chatter and yells of the household, there was calm music playing softly.  It seemed to get louder as Marius walked more down the path of candles.  

Recognizing some of the lyrics that he could make out, the man realized that the song was 'All I Ask of You' (He even muttered the name to himself) from one of his favorite musicals, Phantom of the Opera.  Hya knew he liked this song?  It seemed that the usually oblivious memitim was paying attention once and a while.  Smiling a bit to himself, Marius continued to walk through the somewhat unfamiliar house.

Finally reaching the den, Mar reached the conclusion that Hya had either done something really bad or had gone positively insane, he saw the exact same man standing in the door way.  Marius raised a brow, staring at the nervously smiling other man.

"Hya, what is going on?" Marius said, now placing his hands on his hips.

Hya, now his smile much more relaxed, merely extended his hand to the other man, and said, "Dance with me."

Even though the thought had caused Marius to blush, he still nodded and took the other man's hand.  Dancing slowly in circles around the room to the calm beat of the music; Marius relaxed and even was able to hum along a bit.  

After a while, Marius felt the need to teasingly ask with a grin, "What did you do?"  The other man said nothing, smiled even more, but did stop their dance.

Hya, taking one of Marius' small hands, knelt to the ground and pulled out a small box.  Taking in a quick breath of air, the boy still standing wasn't quite sure what was happening in all honesty.  Luckily, Hya proceeded to open the box, revealing a ring inside.

But, before Mar could really take a good look at the ring, Hya pulled it out of the box, blushing furiously.  And quickly, in an extremely nervous sounding voice, managed to pull out the words, "Mariuz, will you marry me?"

The ring was gorgeous.  A rose-golden band with little wave-like swirls on it as well.  Some even held small diamonds.  But in the middle, was a fabulous purple sapphire.  Sapphires were Marius' birthstone and his favorite by far.  Not to mention, the color purple was favored by the man very much so…

Not that he had ever told anyone, but purple happened to be Marius' favorite color because it was the same color as a certain memitim's eyes that he held dear to his heart.  Looking over the poor boy, he seemed scared out of his wits waiting for the other man to answer him, even shaking slightly.  Yet, he was still so gosh-darn cute, as he had been when they had first met…

They had met a few years ago, so young and foolish back then.  But they had eventually gotten together by the time they were 15.  They moved together and even started their own little family.  It wasn't much, but it was all Marius could ever want.  But getting actually married to the other man, making it official, seemed almost to perfect, too amazing to really happen.  Yet here it was, right in front of him at this very moment…

Now chocked up, Marius tried to get some sound to come out of his voice box.  Tears were threatening to come out, but the boy was somehow able to say, "O-of course." With a smile.

Also smiling just as well, Hya quickly slipped the ring onto the other man's finger and stood up once more.  

Leaping into his arms for an embrace, they kissed.  Not for the first time, and certainly not the last either, while the music continued to play in the new fiancée's ears.
